Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) set out the agreement between you (“the Client”, “you”) and LakesEventure (“we”, “us”, “our”) when booking an event or service with us. By confirming a booking, you agree to these Terms.

1. Booking & Payment
​

1.1 All bookings start with a free 30-minute vision call.
1.2 Following this, we will provide you with a tailored event proposal.
1.3 To secure your booking, a 10% deposit of the total event cost is required.
1.4 Final payment is due no later than 8 weeks before the event date.
1.5 Payments are made via bank transfer only.

2. Cancellations & Refunds
​

2.1 Deposits are non-refundable.
2.2 If you cancel your event after full payment has been made, refunds may be given at our discretion but cannot be guaranteed.
2.3 We cannot control the weather. Alternative plans or adjusted itineraries will be made where possible to ensure your group still enjoys a safe and rewarding experience.
2.4 Refunds will not be issued if the Client cancels due to adverse weather conditions.
2.5 In the unlikely event that LakesEventure must cancel (for reasons beyond our control), we will work with you to rearrange or, if this is not possible, provide a refund.

3. Client Responsibilities
​

3.1 It is your responsibility to ensure that all participants are fit and able to take part in planned activities.
3.2 Any medical conditions, dietary needs, or special requirements must be communicated to us in advance.
3.3 Participants must follow the safety instructions of LakesEventure staff and activity providers at all times.
3.4 You are responsible for arranging any personal travel insurance if required.

4. Our Responsibilities
​

4.1 We will deliver the event as described in your confirmed proposal, subject to reasonable adjustments due to weather, safety, or other unforeseen circumstances.
4.2 We will carry out risk assessments and ensure that activities are led by qualified, experienced staff.
4.3 We will remain in regular contact with you in the lead-up to your event and be present on the ground during delivery.

5. Accommodation & Third Parties
​

5.1 We work with a range of residential centres, accommodation providers, and activity partners across the Lake District.
5.2 While we take every care in choosing trusted partners, we are not liable for the acts or omissions of third-party providers.

6. Liability
​

6.1 We hold appropriate insurance for our services.
6.2 We are not liable for:

  • Loss or damage to personal belongings

  • Injuries or incidents arising from failure to follow safety instructions

  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including weather, transport disruption, or third-party issues)

7. Complaints
​

7.1 If you are unhappy with any aspect of your event, please notify us as soon as possible during the event so we have the opportunity to resolve the issue.
7.2 Formal complaints must be submitted in writing within 14 days of the event.

8. Governing Law
​

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
